India defeated New Zealand in the third T20 match in Guwahati by 8 wickets, to clinching the series. India won this match in just 10 overs.  Indian batsmen Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav delivered explosive batting performances to win the game in just 10 overs. When  Indian batters were batting, it felt like fours and sixes were raining down in the stadium.

Earlier, when the match started, India won the toss and decided to bowl at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. After losing the toss, New Zealand, who batted first, didn’t have a great start. Their highest scorer was Glenn Phillips, who made 48 runs off 40 balls.  Overall, New Zealand scored 153 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs.

For India, Harshit Rana took one wicket, Hardik Pandya took two wickets, Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets in his full four overs, and Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets while conceding 17 runs in his four overs.

After this, India came out to bat with a target of 154 runs. However, India had a very poor start. Sanju Samson, who was under a lot of pressure to perform in this match, was dismissed for a duck on his very first ball without scoring any runs. After that, Ishan Kishan, the hero of the previous match, came out to bat, and on his very second ball, he hit a massive six.

Then he didn’t look back, unleashing a barrage of fours and sixes, and Abhishek Sharma fully supported him at the other end.  In no time, the scoreboard moved to 50 runs in just 3.1 overs. Ishan Kishan started this match right where he left off in the previous game. Ishan Kishan was dismissed after playing a powerful innings of 28 runs, which included three fours and two sixes.

After Ishan Kishan’s departure, captain Suryakumar Yadav, who came out to bat, was also in no mood to stop and started hitting a flurry of sixes and fours. Abhishek Sharma, who was batting at the other end with Suryakumar, was decorating his innings with fours and sixes as well. The two players led India to victory in just 10 overs. When the match ended, Abhishek Sharma remained not out on 68 runs off just 20 balls with 7 fours and five sixes, while Suryakumar Yadav remained not out on  57 runs off just 26 balls with six boundaries and three sixes, securing the victory. Overall, India scored 155 runs for the loss of two wickets in 10 overs and won the match by eight wickets.

With this win, India has secured the five-match T20 series, leading 3-0 with two matches still to be played. The fourth match of the series is scheduled for January 28th in Visakhapatnam, and the final T20 match will be played in Ahmedabad on 31st, January.
